"Earth Microbiome Project"

Earth Microbiome Project was initiated in 2010 with a vision to identify all the microbes present on the Earth planet. Microbes are identified based on the DNA sequencing, Metagenomics, Metabolomics etc. To know the total microbiome of the earth, samples will be collected from different environments, geographical locations and different climatic conditions. Main motto of the project is to create global gene atlas describing the protein space, genetic variations and to know different metabolic activities of various microbiomes
